Frequency response of RC circuits, part II
These exercises are a continuation of your previous exploration of filters. Having used the oscilloscope to thoroughly analyse the low-pass filter gain and phase shift behaviour and having tabulated, plotted and fitted this data, you should now be able to use your gained experience to readily determine the relevant set of frequency test values and to efficiently measure and record this data for the high-pass filter.

Prelab preparation

Prepare tables with the required data columns to be filled in during the high-pass filter analysis. Based on your previous experience, devise a list of procedural steps that you can follow to promote efficiency in your data gathering and avoid unnecessary duplication of effort.

You were given the gain and phase shift equations for the low-pass filter. Review your notes on transient circuits to locate the equivalent equations for the high-pass filter. You will need these to analyse the filter and plot the transfer function.
